Epazote or also known as Mexican tea, Paico is a native herb to south America, Central America and Mexico.
This leaf vegetable or herb has a very strong taste & aroma similar to anise, fennel or even tarragon.
Traditionally used with black beans for its flavour and carminative properties (less gas).
Additionally, this Herb is used in traditional Mexican dishes such as mole, tamales, chilaquiles and green salsa.
Epazote Cooking Suggestion:
– use in fried rice to impart fragrant aroma.
