Dried Black Lime whole also known as Noomi Basra is an essential ingredient in Iraqi cuisines.
Dried black limes are naturally sun-dried to remove the water content. They are described to have zesty, earthy and sour flavour . This ingredient is used in traditional Persian and Iraqi stews and soups as a souring agent.
Black limes can be crushed into powder using spice grinder.
