Aleppo Pepper is a Turkish pepper with pleasant warm, fruity & mild chilli flavour. Aleppo Peppers also add a rich red colour to the stews and casseroles. Some recipes also refer to this Pul Biber or Marrakech chilli.
Use with Persian Ghee for scrambled eggs, roasting vegetables and Moghrabieh dishes.
The other type of Turkish chilli is Urfa Biber which is the smoked pepper. The flavour is intense with a hint of sweetness.
