Borage Flower or as it is known as Gol-gav-zaban is a natural herb organically grown in Iran. Persian borage flowers are pink when fresh and much larger than the blue, star-shaped flowers of the ordinary borage.
Once the flowers are naturally sun-dried, they turn into a deep vibrant blue. The taste profile of this herbal ingredient is described as sweet and honey-like taste.
In Persian Culture, these dried flowers have traditionally been used as a herbal tea remedy. It is believed that this tea relives cold & flu symptoms or rheumatoid arthritis and kidney inflammation.
It is also believed to be warm in nature, thereby alleviating symptoms that are caused by using food that is cold in nature such as cucumber and fish.
